Here's what is known at the time of writing.</p><h2>Details Of The Crime</h2><p><a href="https://www.fox4news.com/news/lewisville-workplace-shooting-travis-merrill-affidavit">Per FOX 4,</a> Travis Merrill, 51 years old, is the individual who accused of killing Tamhara Collazo. The incident occurred on Thursday October 17th, 2024, outside the workplace of both Merrill and Collazo, which was Allegiance Trucks in Lewisville. Merrill's actions were seen by multiple people as well.</p><p>After Merrill was taken into custody further details were revealed as to why he did what he did.</p><h2>Merrill's Reasoning For Taking Collazo's Life</h2><p>According to FOX 4, Merrill told police that he was reprimanded by the company's HR following, in his own words: "he was obsessed with Collazo and began getting ever increasingly angry by her taking what he considered to be unauthorized long breaks during work hours, as well as not paying any attention to him."</p><p>After Collazo alerted HR, Merrill was instructed to speak a counselor before he was allowed to return to his place of work. Following his return, Collazo did not attempt to be near Merrill.</p><p>Merrill in turn, as reported by FOX 4, bought guns.
