This is based on research that was done by the good people over at <a href="https://www.zippia.com/advice/most-hated-states/">Zippia</a>.</p><p>They looked at three different aspects to see what state is the most hated; the percent of residents who think their own state is the worst, the states with the biggest population decrease, and what other states believe is the worst state.</p><p>With all of this being taken into account, they placed Colorado as the least hated state in the entire country.</p><p>The main reason why is because according to their research, there are no states in the country that hate Colorado.</p><p>If you ask me, that’s pretty awesome.</p><h2>What is the Most Hated State?</h2><figure><img src="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?type=thumbnail_580x000&amp;url=37yd9g_0vf5cgYt00" alt="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=37yd9g_0vf5cgYt00" width="1600" height="1067" ><figcaption>Canva</figcaption></figure><p>With all of that being said, it’s worth asking what state is the most hated.</p><p>It would appear that title would go to Illinois, but not for the reasons one might think.</p><p>Illinois actually only has one state that hates it, but the reason why it tops the list is because a shocking 25% of Illinoisans say their state is the worst. It’s also one of the fastest shrinking states as well.</p><p>When it comes to the state that other people seem to hate the most, that would belong to California.
