A Southern Minnesota bridge is now being monitored for 'stability' after a dam near the bridge was breached, causing massive amounts of debris and dirt to be washed downstream, and causing the bridge supports to be uncovered. Rivard Settling In As New Sartell Superintendent

Michael Rivard's first day on the job was Monday after serving as the assistant superintendent for St. Cloud Area Schools. UNDATED (WJON News) -- Scattered showers and thunderstorms develop by mid-morning with on & off storms continuing into Friday morning. In St. Cloud, the heaviest rain will be between noon on Thursday through about 3:00 a.m. Friday. The best chance for thunder in St. Cloud is between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Thursday.
St. Cloud Man Charged With Arson Following Apartment Fire
ST. CLOUD (WJON News) -- A St. Cloud man is facing arson charges after a fire at an apartment complex Tuesday afternoon. Around 3:15 p.m., the St. Cloud Fire Department responded to a report of a residential building on fire in the 500 block of 8th Avenue South. When crews arrived, they found smoke coming out the windows of a unit on the third floor and quickly put out the fire.

ROCKVILLE (WJON News) -- The identity of the man involved in the restraining order violation in Rockville, and more information about the incident have been released. The man has been ID'd as Joseph Bloch of Rockville and he has been charged in Stearns County District Court with one count of threat of violence - disregard of the risk, and one count of harassment-aggravated violations - use of a dangerous weapon in commission of the offense.

UPDATE: Body Found Near Tech High School Identified
ST. CLOUD (WJON News) -- The body of the person found near Tech High School earlier this week has been identified. In an update to a story WJON told you about on Monday, the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office and Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension have identified the man as 26-year-old Mohamed Mustaf Mohamud of St. Cloud. Just after 11:00 a.m. Monday morning, the St. Cloud Fire Department was called to the 4200 block of 33rd Street South, near Tech High School for a grass fire.
Grant To Help Central MN United Way Educate About New Financial Aid Forms
ST. CLOUD (WJON News) -- United Way of Central Minnesota (UWCM) has received a grant to help people apply for financial aid for college. He says many accidents can be avoided if people increase their following distance. 2) If you're vehicle were to break down - Grabow suggests getting your vehicle off the road to the right shoulder as quickly and safely as possible. He says move the vehicle right of the shoulder if possible. Grabow says you should know your location and call in your emergency so help can arrive.
