Minnesota Sports Fans Treated To Historic Milestone
Marney Gellner, A Fox Sports North Sideline Reporter, has just made history as the first woman to call play-by-play for a regular season Twins game in Minnesota Twins history. Marney Gellner, born in Langdon, North Dakota, says that she’s been around the Twins organization for such a long time, that it didn’t necessarily feel like it was a big deal. What’s Really Behind the Woodshed in This Minnesota Community
Taking someone behind the woodshed is an old phrase regarding being punished away from view of others. Of course, a woodshed would be set away from the main house, for fire safety reasons. When a child would misbehave, parent or disciplinarian would take them behind the building and give a spanking or a beating. So when you are "taken behind the woodshed" in today's analogy, your boss could be discipling you behind closed doors, not out in a common area like a coffee room.

Would Minnesotans Like to Be Able to Oust Lying Politicians?
There’s an old saying that says “you know how to tell a politician is lying, their lips are moving”. And sadly, these days, there is some truth to that statement. I’m not a historian, but I was awake in high school history class enough to know that what we’ve evolved into politically, is not what it was intended to be.
