Hays just returned from the injured list with a kidney infection and is hitting .240 with one home run and five RBI in 21 games since coming over in a trade from Baltimore.However, did they need to add another starting pitcher at the deadline? Time will tell, but one was available that the Phillies turned down. One thing Crochet does is strike hitters out, racking up 203 strikeouts in just 142 innings pitched.Painter is coming back from Tommy John Surgery and has started to throw, and could be a factor in the team's 2025 rotation and plans.
