Dodgers top Padres 5-2

The Padres lost to the Dodgers 5-2 on Saturday night after a 2 hour and 15 minute rain delay to begin the game. The game began as a pitcher's duel, with the first run coming in the bottom of the 4th inning when Mookie Betts drove in James Outman with an opposite field single. Dodgers starter Gavin Stone was perfect through 5 innings, but the Padres managed a walk and three hits in the 6th inning, including a game-tying RBI-double from Fernando Tatis Jr. But that would be as close as the Padres would get, as Tom Cosgrove allowed 3 runs in the 6th, and the Dodgers would hold on to win 5-2. The rubber match of the series on Sunday will pit Yu Darvish against James Paxton.
