The Padres came from behind once again to earn a victory on Monday night, beating the Brewers 7-3. Joe Musgrove ran into trouble early, needing to induce an inning-ending double play in the 1st inning to hold the Brewers to just 1 run, and benefiting from Fernando Tatis throwing out a runner at 3rd base in the 2nd, which proved to save a run with the next batter Jackson Chourio hitting a 2-run homer to extend Milwaukee's lead to 3-0.

Ha-Seong Kim put the Padres on the board in the 4th inning with a run-scoring groundout. The Padres rallied for 6 runs in a wild 5th inning. After Tatis' RBI-groundout with none out and the bases loaded, Tyler Wade scored from 3rd on a passed ball to tie the game. Jake Cronenworth reached base on a catcher's interference that had to be reviewed, followed by Manny Machado driving in Xander Bogaerts with an infield single. Jackson Merrill and Luis Campusano would each add RBI-singles, giving the Padres a lead they'd hold on to for the rest of the game. Robert Suarez did have to make an appearance in the 9th inning, when Milwaukee loaded the bases to bring the potential tying run to the plate, but Suarez got Sal Felick to fly out to left field to end the game, as the Padres improved to 10-9 on the season. Dylan Cease will get the ball on Tuesday for the Friars.
