Kim's homer leads to Padres 6-3 victory

The Padres cruised to a stress-free 6-3 win over the Brewers on Tuesday afternoon, setting them up for an opportunity to sweep on Wednesday morning. San Diego scored four runs in the 1st inning, highlighted by Ha-Seong Kim's 3-run blast to left field. That would be all the production Dylan Cease needed, who delivered his third consecutive quality start. Cease didn't have his best command, evidenced by him issuing five free passes, but he struck out seven while allowing just one earned run, allowing the Padres' bullpen to carry them the rest of the way. Adrian Morejon and Jhony Brito each allowed a run, while Yuki Matsui came in to relieve Morejon from a jam in the 7th, and did so to earn a hold. Michael King will try to replicate the success he had two starts ago against the Giants and complete the sweep on Wednesday.
