Dylan Cease struggles in loss to Rangers

The Padres were shutout 7-0 in Arlington against the Rangers on Tuesday in a game that featured two polar opposite pitching performances. Dylan Cease struggled mightily, allowing 6 earned runs on 8 hits and 2 walks in just 3.2 innings of work, including two home runs to Nathaniel Lowe, dropping his record to 7-7. This was Cease's 3rd subpar outing in his last 4. On the other hand, Nate Eovaldi was fantastic for the Rangers, twirling 7 shutout innings while allowing just one hit and no walks. Adam Mazur is scheduled to start Wednesday's game.
