Padres acquire Rays RHP Jason Adam

According to multiple media reports, the Padres have traded for Rays RHP Jason Adam in exchange for prospects Dylan Lesko, Homer Bush Jr. and JD Gonzalez. Adam has a 2.49 ERA and a 0.89 WHIP. Adam's ERA+ is 157. His K:BB ratio is 50:16 in 47 innings. Adam has 19 holds, 4 saves and 3 blown saves. Adam's salary for this season is $2.7M (the Padres only have to pay the remaining portion) and he has 2 years of arbitration left. Adam should immediately pitch in high leverage setup situations for the Padres.

According to MLB Pipeline, Dylan Lesko was the Padres #3 prospect, Homer Bush was the Padres #8 prospect and JD Gonzalez was the #12 prospect.
