After weeks of fits and starts, the Senate approved a $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure plan on Tuesday, a rare coalition of Democrats and Republicans. The bill goes to the House. Next, the progressive spending plan adding another $3.5 Trillion.
Elsa hits Cuba, then to Florida Tuesday and Wednesday
Tropical Storm Elsa swept along Cuba’s southern coast early Monday, and forecasters said it could make landfall on the island’s central shore by midafternoon. Local impact to be determined, but landfall predicted along Florida’s Big Bend Wednesday.
Elsa becomes first hurricane of 2021, eyes US
Elsa becomes the earliest 5th named storm, and is now the first Hurricane of the 2021 season. The fast-moving storm formed in an area of the Atlantic normally active in September and October. Florida residents should monitor the track of Elsa.
