Yung Miami Breaking Her Silence In “Caresha Please” Season 2 Premiere

After months of silence amid some major controversy, Yung Miami is finally ready to talk.

The rapper & TV personality returns to Revolt TV tonight (Aug. 8) for season 2 of her intimate talk show, Caresha Please , and it looks like she will be telling her story, her way.

In an emotional sneak peek, Miami sits across from longtime friend and fellow rapper Saucy Santana , who is the interviewer this time around. We see the former City Girl in tears at times, showing that this will be a very emotional episode.

But, as Miami tweeted, she seems to be ready for all of the smoke.

“I want to be able to answer all the questions that people may have. I’m ready to answer everything, tell my story, tell my truth, tell my feelings and tell what I’ve been going through,” Yung Miami exclusively tells PEOPLE . “I’m going to do exactly that on the show.”

Growing Pains & Controversy

A lot has changed for the 30-year-old, born Caresha Brownlee, since we last saw her. This year saw the official breakup of the City Girls, as she and JT decided to dive into their solo ventures following the release of their last album, 2023’s RAW .

“We older now, and she was doing her own thing. She on the West Coast, I’m in Miami. I’m doing my own thing,” she told Complex at the time. “And I felt like naturally, when she doing her own thing, it just worked for her. And when I’m doing my own thing, it worked for me. But when we get together as a group, it just wasn’t connecting. It just wasn’t working no more. So I think we both was at a point where we were just like, “We probably should just do our own sh*t.”

Another major part of her journey was her high-profile relationship with now-disgraced mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs . Their controversial relationship was further marred by the recent sexual assault and domestic abuse allegations against the Bad Boy Records founder, leading to the release of 2016 surveillance footage of Diddy assaulting his former girlfriend, singer Cassie.

In March, Diddy’s homes in Miami and California were raided amid an ongoing criminal investigation and a slew of lawsuits. One month later, Miami confirmed to The Cut that they were no longer dating, but still good friends.

As for her decision to return her show to Revolt TV, the company that Diddy founded in 2013 and served as chairman until late last year, Miami had this to say:

“I felt like this was something Revolt had to go through as well. I considered [leaving] it, but at the end of the day, it’s a Black-owned media company and I built a relationship with them and it just felt comfortable and I just felt safe.”

Revolt’s new CEO, Detavio Samuels, expressed his excitement over the return of Caresha Please on the network:

“I’m thrilled to announce the return of the No. 1 show for the culture, Caresha Please , to the No. 1 media platform for the culture, REVOLT. Caresha is a singular and unique voice that has taken the world by storm, and we expect nothing less as she makes her triumphant return.”

A spokesperson for Revolt also reiterated that Diddy no longer has any form of ownership in the network.

The Future

Miami seems very optimistic about the future of her show, which launched in 2022 with the viral interview with her now-ex.

“I’m just shifting my energy into what’s important to me right now, and that’s my kids and my career,” she says. “With this new season of the show, “I’m switching up segments and have a new design that I’m excited about.”

“I really just want everyone to watch and see every emotion and how I feel about how everything unfolded,” she adds. “I kept everything real.”

Season Two of Caresha Please airs August 8 at 8pm ET on the Revolt app and YouTube channel, followed by a showing on Revolt TV on August 9 at 9pm ET.
