Indiana. Seriously. Hard to argue that it’s the weather that is chasing people away when the top spot they land is the non-tropical Hoosier state to the tune of over 29,000.Florida however is at number 2 with over 27,000 Illinois residents moving there last year.Number 3 is Wisconsin at almost 27,000. Wisconsin is even colder and more snowy….People from Illinois also moved to Texas in numbers over 24,000.So are Chicagoans leaving Illinois to live in Indiana and Wisconsin but still work in Illinois? Maybe some, northwest Indiana is a rapidly growing area, but the counties surrounding Indianapolis are the fastest growing in Indiana.
