Originally from the Philippines, Lola made her homemade sauces with local peppers from Iowa farmers once she moved to the United States, according to the company's official website.</p><p>Ever since establishing the business in 2015, Lola's has been slowly but surely expanding to locations all across the country!</p><h2>Knock Off!</h2><p>Show staffer Brenna showed up at the door of special education teachers Jay Jay and Monie in Iowa City to see if they could take on a spicy taste test. They were described as Lola's "superfans" in their introduction.</p><p>You might recognize Jay Jay from social media or rather the <a href="https://www.instagram.com/theiowagallivant_/">Iowa Gallivant.</a></p><p>He travels all across the state showcasing some great local restaurants.
