What Happened to This Former Supper Club Along the River
The Pirates Cove Supper Club opened in the early 1970s by Roger and JoAnn Kirmeier. I was joined this week by John Decker and Steve Penick from the Stearns History Museum and longtime St. Cloud resident Jim Grabinski. The Club remained owned and operated by the Kirmeier's until 1997 when they sold the establishment. In October of 1998 the Pirates Cove burned down.

First Ever Book Swap Hopes To Spread Enjoyment Of Reading
WAITE PARK (WJON News) -- A first-of-its-kind event for the St. Cloud area took place on Saturday. Fuzzy Loon Designs held it first-ever Book Swap from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Over the last month, people had to drop of their "favorite reads" and then could stop in on Saturday to pick out 3 new to them books.
