The location is a popular outdoor target shooting location but is also an area where bikers and hikers can be seen, plus there are homes and livestock in the area. <a href="https://www.facebook.com/BLMIdaho">BLM</a> has identified an alternate location for target shooting near Filer.</p><p>There <a href="https://www.facebook.com/BLMIdaho/posts/pfbid023NV9UvpuXpsyhsN7VrEE6KPNhhCD2D8Nz6rfafQVUrCjDhSeiZyiM7KeE3PxJzAZl">have been reports</a> of homes, livestock, people, and equipment being hit by bullets. The area, south of Twin falls near the base of the South Hills, will close on September 20th. 3,700 acres of land will be off-limits, but south of the closure will remain open for recreational shooting.
