Idaho’s Stupid New Anti-Porn Laws Are An Absolute Joke
Idaho's recent introduction of anti-porn laws, which mandate age verification for adult websites, is a misguided attempt to protect minors from the dangers of pornography. I agree that nothing good comes from minors having such easy access to online smut. Still, our legislation is nothing more than a modern version of prohibition and the laughable war on drugs policies of the past. Instead of learning from our past failures, the Gem State decided to pass a copycat version of Utah's ineffective policies.
Idahoans React to Obnoxious Neighborhood Fireworks Shows
Did you get any sleep last night? If you live in Idaho, the chances are you didn't get a whole lot of sleep. The reason our night and our upcoming nights of discontent will continue is that Idahoans love their fireworks. Never mind that firing off aerial fireworks are illegal, the nights of loud sounds and excessive lights will continue.
Idaho Counties With the Highest Number of Miserable Lyme Disease Cases
When the spring and summer months hit in the United States, the words “Lyme disease” and “ticks” go hand in hand in the media. And we’re not just talking about programs like NBC Nightly News and ABC World News Tonight. You’ll often see Lyme Disease get discussed on entertainment news shows like ET or Hollywood Insider. That’s because there has been a significant number of celebrities that have contracted the bacterial tick-borne illness without it being properly diagnosed the first time.

Viva Raw LLC has voluntarily recalled select packages of its dog and cat raw turkey food as a precaution against potential listeria contamination, according to information published by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration. The Fourth of July holiday came and went and the temperatures in southern Idaho remained relatively nice as highs reached the upper eighties for the region on Thursday. That's about to change in the form of a five-day heatwave that will blanket the Magic Valley beginning Monday (July 8). "The...
The Parts of Idaho Most of Us Will Never See
I’ll wager a lot of people in Idaho have never seen the territory the men in the video below saw last summer. They started at Jarbidge, made their way to Glenn's Ferry, then on to Idaho County, and eventually Lolo Pass. I gathered after watching the video that some of them have made this trip more than once. We should all make the trip once, but I would add that it doesn’t look easy. When I still had a Jeep, I took it on some similar and narrow roads. I didn’t have a video production team and a caravan along for the ride. It was often white knuckle, and if I had tumbled down a gully, people could still be looking for me.

LOOK: Fireworks Used the Wrong Way in the Magic Valley and Destroy Dumpster
Odd are you have been hearing explosions going off all week long, and are tired of hearing them. The good news is they should all be done or close to it in the next day or two. Many will be thrilled to be able to sleep through the night once more and not hear booms through the night, while others will miss seeing the free show every night. While fireworks are a joy to watch through the holiday, they also cause some damage, and not all fireworks were used to entertain this past week.
Callous Idiots with Fireworks Burn Idaho Business
Morons disregard the warnings. A military surplus store burned overnight in Sandpoint. The owner, Cornel Rasor, posted pictures on his Facebook account, explaining his business was a total loss. Rasor is a Republican Party activist and somewhat of an institution in the panhandle. Imagine celebrating a joyous Independence Day, and...

WARNING: Idaho Democrats Still Back Joe Biden
If Ilana Rubel is an indication, Idaho Democrats are still behind Joe Biden. The State House Minority Leader is a delegate to her party’s national convention. She told Newsradio 96.1 FM and 1310 KLIX that she’s still behind the President, and would vote for him in November if he’s the party’s nominee. She concedes she will vote for another choice if Biden stands down. The Minority Leader also believes the result would be an open convention, where delegates would choose from several potential candidates. I should note, she’s not a huge fan of California Governor Gavin Newsom.

Beware of Nasty Disease That Has Returned to the Gem State
Typically the summer is not when diseases are getting spread as much across Idaho. Kids are out of school, the wind is a little less than at other times throughout the year, and the weather is much better overall. Despite this all being true, there are still some diseases getting spread across the Gem State. With summer being the peak of tourist season, this time of year brings in many tourists, as well as Idahoans, who are traveling themselves. This puts residents in contact with others from around the country and the world and exposes them to different diseases. One nasty disease is back and is spreading across the Gem State, especially in the Magic Valley.
