Now, that restaurant chain is faces additional issues.</p><p>Restaurants close all the time, but it's not always that those closures are indicative of a larger issue.</p><h2>National Italian Restaurant Chain Files for Bankruptcy</h2><p><a href="https://www.bucadibeppo.com/">Buca di Beppo</a> closed a location in Utica and another in Livonia; the <a href="https://www.freep.com/story/entertainment/dining/2024/07/30/restaurant-chain-known-for-family-style-italian-fare-shutters/74593079007/">last</a> of its <a href="https://witl.com/tags/michigan-restaurants/">Michigan locations</a> in August 2024. And now we know that they've filed for bankruptcy.</p><figure><img src="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?type=thumbnail_580x000&amp;url=36xVJS_0vlGGD9A00" alt="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=36xVJS_0vlGGD9A00" width="1600" height="1067" ><figcaption>Google Maps</figcaption></figure><p>According to <a href="https://www.nbc4i.com/news/local-news/central-ohio-news/buca-di-beppo-files-for-bankruptcy-as-ohio-location-set-for-demolition/">NBC4</a>, this Italian food chain filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in August, siting that it owes anywhere from $15 - 50 million dollars to creditors.</p><p>Michigan isn't the only state to have <a href="https://www.bucadibeppo.com/locations/">locations</a> close either. A location in Worthington, Ohio <a href="https://www.restaurantbusinessonline.com/operations/buca-di-beppo-closes-13-underperforming-restaurants">closed</a> and the site and building sold. The site is set to be demolished to make way for a <a href="https://witl.com/new-chick-fil-a-michigan/">Chick-fil-A,</a> which brought the property.</p><p>Buca di Beppo isn't the only national chain of something to file for bankruptcy or to close multiple (or all, in some cases) locations.</p><p>Rue21, a teen clothing store, <a href="https://witl.com/rue21-closing-all-michigan-locations/">closed all its locations</a> in the last few months. So has Rite Aid and Big Lots.</p><p>Buca di Beppo had been a part of the Livonia, Michigan community for the last 25 years, so it was a pretty big shock when word broke that it was closing permanently.</p><p>At this time, only time will tell whether or not more locations of this Italian restaurant chain will close their doors.</p><h2>The 10 Most Expensive Restaurants in Michigan</h2><p>Open up your wallet this Valentine's Day.
