    Louisiana Bakery Donating 50% of Sales to Family of Fallen Officer

    Another local business has announced that they will be donating a portion of their sales to the family of Senior Corporal Segus Jolivette.

    Officer Jolivette was killed while in the line of duty with the Lafayette Police Department and while the community mourns his death, so many local businesses are stepping up to assist his family.

    Piece of Cake Lafayette announced on social media that on Thursday, August 1, 2024, “50% of the proceeds from our CAKE BALLS AND GOURMET CUPCAKES SALES will be donated to support Cpl. Jolivette family during this difficult time.”

    So, if you have a sweet tooth and want to be part of this great cause, visit the bakery on Thursday at 1507 Kalistee Saloom Rd. in Lafayette, Louisiana.

    In their social media post, the Lafayette small business says, “We encourage the community to show their support by contributing to the City of Lafayette Police Department Fallen Heroes Fund through the Community Foundation of Acadiana . This fund is dedicated to assisting LPD members who have been killed or wounded in the line of duty, and all funds raised will go directly to the Jolivette family.”
