Louisiana Will Temporarily Stop Some Postal Services for Several Zip Codes

Another storm has made its way to Louisiana, disrupting the normal operations of every aspect of our lives. According to the U.S. Postal Service, some retail locations of post offices have been closed for safety reasons.

Louisiana district officials with U.S.P.S. say they will close five locations and post office box customers will need to get their mail from different post office locations until further notice.

As officials continue to assess safety and any damage caused by Francine, it is possible that more zip codes will be added to this list.

The following post offices are closed:

Barataria

Cameron

Grand Isle

Hackberry

Lafitte
