The missing person case of Tammy Grady is the worst kept secret in Wilson, NC

    2023-10-03

Tammy had not been in contact with family for a week prior to her being reported as missing. It is possible that she was went missing between 11/24/19 and 11/28/2019. Her sister Christy Ruffin had last spoken to Tammy by phone on 11/23/2019 at 11:02pm. Tammy has not contacted anyone in her family since that time.

She always spoke to her sister Christy or her younger brother Horace daily. There have been no transactions on Tammy’s EBT card since 11/23/2019 nor has there been any activity on Tammy’s social media which is unusual as Facebook has been one of Tammy’s primary ways of communication.

Tammy was using the cell phone of a friend whom she had recently started staying with on Elvie St S in Wilson. The friend advised shortly after midnight Tammy left with Patrick H. to go to a local motel, the Heart of Wilson (501 Nash St W).

THE MOST RECENT INFORMATION THAT HAS BEEN OBTAINED:After arriving at the Heart of Wilson Motel, Tammy was taken to a home in Kenly with Ashley Ballance and three others and has never been seen or heard from again. Ashley was at Bob Chapmans home in Kenly the night that Tammy was killed. In Ashley’s conversations she has advised that Chapman told the people at the house to shut Tammy up because she was talking too much. So a male (who we know but will not reveal the name right now) killed Tammy. Everyone at that home that night was witness to this murder and Ashley helped dispose of Tammy’s body.

According to Ashley. Ashley has been vocal with many people on what happened that night. She brags about it with everyone and even on phone calls that were recorded however, she hasn’t come clean to law enforcement. She has had ample opportunity to do so as she has been in and out of jail. What is also suspicious is that the vehicle that Tammy was last seen in was taken to a car crusher. There was nothing wrong with the vehicle, however, it was taken to the recycling facility which raised questions.

Tammy's sister, Christy Ruffin has been begging for answers in her disappearance. She has accepted that Tammy may have been hurt but just wants to know where she is so she can be in peace. There are so many questions that are slowly being answered in this case. This is still considered a missing person case as she has not been found.

Grady is 5'4" tall, weighs 120 pounds, and has brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a burgundy hooded sweatshirt/coat with a white design across the chest and down the insides of the sleeves, yellow leggings, and black shoes. Carrying a black duffel bag with a shoulder strap.

It sounds pretty simple. Find the crushed car and she may be inside. I do hope they find her for her family’s sake.
