Investigations Underway After Multiple Bodies Found Across South Carolina

Body Found in Wooded Area in Liberty:
On Saturday, July 6, just after 10 a.m., deputies from the Pickens County Sheriff's Office discovered human remains in a heavily wooded area on the 100 block of Shivers Lane in Liberty.
The body, found near the home of 34-year-old Justin Scott Gasper, who went missing earlier this year, appears to be that of an adult male. Gasper was last seen leaving his home on May 3 around 10 p.m. on foot.
Body of Missing Man Found in Fire-Damaged Home in Richland County:
Henry Haile, Jr., 63, who was last heard from in January, was found dead inside his fire-damaged home on Stanford Street, according to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department (RCSD).
According to police, the individual appeared to have fallen from an unknown height in an area with several two and three-story businesses and apartments. Detectives and officers are currently investigating the incident.

The Aiken County Coroner’s Office is investigating the death of an individual following a residential fire on Friday evening, July 5.
