In case you missed it, this new restaurant has opened in Reynoldsburg

A new restaurant opened earlier this year in the city of Reynoldsburg.

On March 3, Chef Lee's Food Shack had its grand opening.

The restaurant's menu varies a little day by day, but you can expect to see a selection of soul food. The most recent menu Chef Lee's Food Shack posted on their Facebook page includes huli-huli chicken (which is a grilled chicken dish with sweet and savory flavors), BBQ smoked pork ribs, fried chicken wings, green beans, collard greens, mac and cheese, sweet potatoes, and rice.

From 11 AM to 2 PM, the restaurant offers lunch specials. Right now, you can get ribs for $12 or wings for $10. Each lunch special comes with 2 sides of your choice. Side options include mac and cheese, cabbage, sweet yams, collard greens, and green beans with smoked turkey.

Chef Lee's Food Shack also offers a few different varieties of cornbread that are all made from scratch. You can get butter pecan cornbread, blueberry cornbread, and/or honey butter cornbread.

If you want to save some room for dessert, the restaurant serves strawberry shortcake and cherry cheesecake, both of which are homemade.

If you want something to quench your thirst, the restaurant offers Kool Aid and lemonade as well as bottled water and bottles of soda.

So far, the new restaurant has been well-received by customers. Here is what a local guide wrote in a Google review:

Man! We couldn’t wait to try Chef Lee’s Food Shack and it definitely didn’t disappoint!!! Wings are perfectly seasoned, tender ribs, and Mac is nice and cheesy! What I enjoyed the most though is how friendly and appreciative they were! We’ll definitely be back!

Chef Lee was very kind and cared about our experience. Food was fresh and well prepared. Even our picky toddler ate well and wanted more. We will be back!

The restaurant is open Wednesday to Friday from 11 AM to 7 PM, Saturday from 12 PM to 7 PM, and Sunday from 12 PM to 6 PM. It is closed on Monday and Tuesday.
