Firefighter Offshore Trip Part 2 - TILEFISH LIMIT!
This is part 2 of the offshore trip where we took a group of Hanover County Volunteer firefighters offshore for Sea Bass and tilefish out of Rudy inlet, Virginia Beach. We wore these guys out. Unfortunately we have footage of Steve getting a hook clean through his leg! He learned a lesson about putting a flopping fish connected to several other hooks between his feet! ALWAYS carry Betadine with you on salt water to treat ANY wound! There can be bacteria in that water that can cause nasty infections, or even a lot worse! It was great to get this group of local hero's out for a day of catching, and they went back with full coolers and great memory's. Part 2 is the Tilefish part and you can find that one my profile as well as many other local fishing videos. Follow me to get the latest when I upload more.
How to Clean Catfish Fast & Easy!
This is how we clean the catfish we catch in the Pamunky river and various lakes around Richmond, VA. The electric knife and cut resistant glove make this fast and easy. No more skinning, gutting, and then filleting your fish. Get the job done in a fraction of the time with clean boneless and skinless fillets every time. Spicy Tuna Roll Sushi from fresh caught OBX Tuna!
When you vacation in the outer banks you may take a charter trip after Yellowfin Tuna, or just buy some at a local market but these Spicy Tuna Rolls are great for beginning Sushi makers. It is a simple roll to make up and has an incredible flavor profile. You can control the heat as you make it. The tuna for this came from a fishing trip/video you can find in my profile where we left out of Oregon Inlet in Nags Head. An average size tuna is going to yield a LOT of meat! If you get more than one, make sure you either share them, or if you freeze them, use them up within the first 3 or 4 months. They freeze ok, but even vacuum sealed, they can get "fishy" if stored much longer than that. Eat 'em up or share them as soon as you can.
Part 2 of the Tilefish/Jumbo Sea Bass Limit trip!

Constant action, tangles, sharks, and all kinds of adventure! Hit that plus button to follow me and check out part 2 by clicking on my profile above.
