Fairless Hills, Pa. - Authorities in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, have ordered residents to shelter in place following a shooting incident in neighboring Falls Township on Saturday morning.

Middletown Township police confirmed gunfire and multiple gunshot victims in Falls Township. The motive behind the shootings remains unclear, with investigators unsure if they were targeted or random acts of violence.

U.S. Representative Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA) reported a carjacking connected to the shootings via social media, stating he was in contact with law enforcement as they pursued the suspect(s).

The shelter-in-place order, issued by Bucks County around 9:30 am, included the closure of Oxford Valley Mall and Sesame Place. Several other businesses, including Target, followed suit and closed voluntarily. Due to the ongoing situation, the county's scheduled St. Patrick's Day parade was also canceled.

Details regarding the number of victims, the suspect(s), and the nature of their injuries are yet to be released by authorities.
