Georgia football knows a thing or two about winning national championships and that all starts with recruiting --which is something Coach Kirby Smart is very good at.

This weekend marks one of the biggest recruiting weekends of the year and Smart and his crew will host a handful of four- and five-star prospects in Athens.

Here are the top three names that every Georgia football fan should know and keep an eye on this weekend (and beyond):

    • David Sanders Jr. OT, Charlotte, NC - Top 5 national recruit
    • Zayden Walker, LB, Ellaville, GA - Top 20 national recruit
    • Trey McNutt, S, Cleveland, OH - Top 30 national recruit

All three are five-star recruits according to the 247Sports Composite (that includes all major services' rankings), and all three are very much in the mix to join the Bulldogs' 2025 recruiting class.

David Sanders Jr., OT, Providence Day School

David Sanders (6-foot-5, 270 pounds) is the No. 1 offensive tackle in the country and the nation’s second-best overall recruit.

He played on both sides of the ball for Providence Day School that went 12-1 and won the NCISAA Division I state title in 2023. On offense, Sanders helped quarterback Jadyn Davis toss for 3,758 passing yards and average 8.6 yards on the ground. As a pass rusher, Sanders logged three QB hits, 24 tackles, 4 sacks, 2 pass breakups, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

Sanders was North Carolina's Gatorade Player of the Year in 2023, a huge accomplishment for an offensive lineman. He earned a MaxPreps All-America second-team selection nod and was named CISAA Offensive Player of the Year.

Alabama, South Carolina, Clemson, Tennessee, and Ohio State are also very well in the mix to land Sanders.

Zayden Walker, LB, Schley County High School

Zayden Walker (6-foot-1, 225 pounds) is the top-ranked linebacker in the country and the nation’s ninth-best overall recruit.

Walker is another two-way player that Georgia is hosting this weekend. He racked up 40 tackles (16.5 tackles for aloss), 27 QB hits, 7 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries and a pass breakup on defense last fall. He carried the ball 77 times for 518 yards and 13 touchdowns on offense while also catching 10 passes for 169 yards and 4 scores.

Walker also plays basketball and competes in track.

He plans to choose between the Bulldogs, Miami, Penn State, and South Carolina.

Trey McNutt, S, Shaker Heights High School

Trey McNutt (6-foot-0, 180 pounds) is the top-ranked safety in the class of 2025 and the No. 24 overall best recruit.

McNutt can play all over the field, but is being recruited as a safety.

The five-star prospect racked up 61 tackles, 12 pass deflections and one forced fumble on defense in 2023. Meanwhile, he notched 611 total yards and 12 touchdowns as a wide receiver.

McNutt is also track star which translates well on the football field.

Michigan, Florida, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Oregon and USC join Georgia in McNutt's top eight offers .

Other big names on Georgia's radar to watch this weekend include four four-star recruits: edge Isaiah Gibson, running back Bo Jackson, wide receiver Marcus Harris and offensive tackle Ziyare Addison.
