During his Ole Miss days, wide receiver Laquon Treadwell was one of the most prolific pass catchers in college football. However, since being selected in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft, Treadwell has bounced around quite a bit entering his ninth season in the league.

Treadwell signed a one-year deal with the Indianapolis Colts in late July, which marks his sixth stop in his pro career. At 29 years old, Treadwell will have to make quite an impression on the Colts in order to crack the team's 53-man roster.

Sunday's preseason opener against the Denver Broncos provided Treadwell with his first opportunity to showcase his abilities in a game setting. Treadwell got onto the field in the second half, and it didn't take long for him to make his presence felt.

With 4:11 left to play in the fourth quarter, Colts quarterback Jason Bean found Treadwell for a 16-yard touchdown pass to keep Indy within an arm's reach. It was Treadwell's only catch of the day, but it certainly was a big one.

Just two drives earlier, Treadwell was wide open in the back corner of the end zone when Kedon Slovis sailed a pass over his head from one yard out. All Treadwell needed was a decent throw to find the end zone twice, but one score should be more than enough for the Colts coaching staff to take notice.

Treadwell is Rebels' fifth all-time leading receiver, and has 111 career receptions for 1,242 receiving yards and five touchdowns in his NFL career. The Colts are fairly thin at wide receiver, so if Treadwell can continue to make an impact he will have a legitimate shot to make the team's roster for Week One.
