We’re back into the swing of things and the Cleveland Browns are preparing for a week of joint practices and a preseason game with the Minnesota Vikings. In the rearview is the 23-10 loss at home to the Green Bay Packers where the Browns played just a couple of starters.

This week against the Vikings, the Browns may choose to go the route of playing the starters primarily in the joint practices, then resting them in the preseason game. That is what they have done in the past, so we will have to see.

When it comes to watching Saturday’s preseason game at 4:25 ET, if you are local you will hear Chris Rose and Nathan Zegura on the call. The game will be available on the following channels, according to 506sports.com :

    WEWS (ABC/5 - Cleveland)

    WBNS (CBS/10 - Columbus)

    WTOL (CBS/11 - Toledo)

    WYTV (ABC/33 - Youngstown)

    WHIO (CBS/7 - Dayton)

For Browns fans that may be in the Minnesota region, or Vikings fans looking where to watch the game, 506sports has you covered too with Paul Allen and Pete Bercich on the call.

    KMSP (FOX/9 - Minneapolis)

    WDIO (ABC/10-13 - Duluth)

    KTTC (CW/10.2 - Rochester MN)

    KEYC (CBS/12 - Mankato MN)

    KVRR (FOX/15 - Fargo ND)

    KFYR (FOX/5.2 - Bismarck ND)

    KMOT (FOX/10.2 - Minot ND)

KSFY (ABC/13 - Sioux Falls SD)

KGAN (FOX/28 - Cedar Rapids IA)

KCCI (CBS/8 - Des Moines IA)

WLAX (FOX/25 - La Crosse WI)

WEUX (FOX/48 - Eau Claire WI)

    KETV (ABC/7 - Omaha)

If you are looking to stream the game, NFL + will be your go-to for that.

Playing against Minnesota is always special to head coach Kevin Stefanski, who came up as an assistant through the Vikings organization before landing the head coaching gig with the Browns in 2020. Vikings general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah comes from the Browns, as well.

Cleveland suffered one injury against the Packers and it was Luke Wypler , who will now be sidelined an extended time. The team already made a trade to fill the need left behind , but the whole thing is just an example of why preseason is so dangerous. Sometimes, you lose players in what is a meaningless game at the end of the day.

Buckle up, folks. The NFL regular season is going to be here before we know it. For now, let’s get through some preseason football.
