The New Orleans Saints have their own quarterback battle fueling forward. Spencer Rattler and Jake Haener are jockeying for the backup job, after Jameis Winston left in free agency.

One Saints star shared some of his thoughts about Winston's impact on him over the past couple of years.

Demario Davis says Jameis Winston is his favorite teammate ever

"I have played with a lot of guys... Jameis is my favorite teammate of all-time. What you see - is what you get"

This quote was followed by some surprise from the Good Morning Football analysis desk. They seemed to be caught off-guard with how directly Davis named Winston in that situation.

Davis also explained why making speeches in front of teammates is a challenge. It is not an easy task, and Winston has made growth in performing in those situations over the years.

He's come a long way since "eating a W" during his Tampa Bay Buccaneers tenure to begin his NFL career.

Winston was clearly highly respected during his time with the Saints. Many of his teammates in New Orleans noted how close they got to him after his departure to the Cleveland Browns this offseason.

Not to mention, the Saints went viral during the 2023 season when the team decided to back Jameis Winston's thought to call their own play in a blowout win of the Atlanta Falcons.

Players wanted Jamaal Williams to get a touchdown after a frustrating season to that point, and Winston headed that thought process - seemingly. Winston's teammates never backed down regarding their support of him during that process. It was impressive.

All in all, players love Jameis. That's because of his immaculate energy and belief in his teammates. That will never change for the veteran QB.
