Browns release statement regarding rookie DT Mike Hall Jr. and a domestic dispute that will reportedly lead to an arrest

Just a couple of days ago we got our first look at Cleveland Browns defensive tackle Michael Hall Jr . and now the rookie defender is in the news for the wrong reasons.

According to a report from The Athletic’s Zac Jackson, Hall is expected to be arrested following an alleged domestic situation on Monday night. Cleveland played their first preseason game on Saturday evening and did practice in Berea on Monday afternoon.

Following the report, the Browns released a statement on the situation through their spokesperson.

“We are aware of the incident involving Mike Hall, Jr. last night. Mike and his representatives have been in touch with the appropriate authorities. We are in the process of gathering more information and will have no further comment at the time.”

There are not a whole lot of details around the allegations at this time and there is no news that Hall has been arrested at this time. Cleveland selected the Northeast Ohio native out of Ohio State in their second round. Hall played his high school ball at Streetsboro High School.

Update : Hall was arrested this morning by Avon police and will be booked this morning.

According to a report , the mother of Hall’s fiancée called 911 and said Hall had pushed her daughter and struck her with a baby bottle. Hall and the woman have an 11-month-old together.

The alleged victim said Hall then threw her belongings outside, dragged her along the porch and driveway and later put a gun to her temple, saying “I will f—— end it all.”

Cleveland is set to host the Minnesota Vikings for joint practices on Wednesday and Thursday and it is not clear whether or not Hall will be participating.
