Buffalo Bills Pro Bowler's bad luck continues after suffering another brutal injury

According to Erik Turner of Cover 1, who had the news first, Buffalo Bills Pro Bowl linebacker Matt Milano suffered a torn biceps injury during Tuesday's practice. The news was later confirmed by multiple sources. It'll require surgery, which will keep him out of action, with a hope that he can return later in the season, potentially around December.

It's another big blow to an already-injured Bills defense, but even more so to Milano, who was already coming off a leg injury that ended his 2023 season after just five games.

"As far as Matt’s concerned, it’s an unfortunate situation," head coach Sean McDermott said. "Matt’s a strong young man, I know he’s going to handle this. It's especially tough coming off the year he came off of already – the good thing is, he’s got a good family behind him that are going to support him, teammates that are going to support him, as well as the coaching staff and our entire football organization. He’s resilient, and we’ve gotta be resilient. We’ve got to move forward and be focused on solutions."

Next man up for the Buffalo Bills will be Dorian Williams, a 2023 3rd round pick by the Bills out of Tulane. He's going to be counted on to fill a massive void on the defense, both in production and in communication. McDermott feels confident in his abilities.

"Dorian's going to do a good job. He's been making progress – it's not just one person's job to fill the void left by Matt," McDermott said.

Last year, Williams saw playing time, getting two starts after the Milano injury. In his first game after Milano went down, Williams logged 10 tackles and a QB hit in the Bills' 14-9 win over the New York Giants.

He'll be next man up, and his involvement in Saturday's preseason game now carries much more meaning.
