The Minnesota Vikings had multiple players get injured over the two days of joint practice with the Cleveland Browns on Wednesday and Thursday. Head coach Kevin O'Connell provided updates on all of them.

    ILB Blake Cashman

The Vikings losing a player like Cashman could be devastating for the Vikings. He was signed to a three-year contract help stabilize the second level of the defense. At the beginning of Thursday's practice, Cashman injured his finger but he will be okay.

"Blake Cashman did kind of sustain a finger injury. Somehow really happened early on in the practice, and somehow played the whole west of the way. He had a little procedure done. Soon as those that kind of procedure, stitches and things heal up, Blake will be good to go."

    WR Jordan Addison

The news broke about Addison's injury quickly spread throughout the internet after being carted off the field . Luckily for the Vikings, he ended up with an ankle injury and it's not likely he will miss serious time.

"Addison avoided a major injury, as I tried to tell some of you guys yesterday, he'll work through the rehab process. It is an ankle, and look forward to getting him back as fast as possible. Don't see him missing, you know, any extended time or anything like that."

    WR Thayer Thomas

Thomas went down on Wednesday during practice and was down for a significant period of time. O'Connell mentioned that Thomas will miss the game on Saturday with a concussion, something that won't be good for him in terms of making the roster.

"Thayer Thomas, scary moment, you know, when I went to talk to coach Schwartz yesterday about, you know, the initial moment of the hit, and kind of what our doctors were making sure they go through their protocols of severe injury, ended up being just a concussion. He's in the protocol. He will not play Saturday. But appreciate coach Schwartz for kind of working with me on in that moment to, you know, you never want to be the coach that just moves the drill up 10 yards and keeps playing when one of your players could be severely injured, which, unfortunately for us, was not the case going right up until the end here that two minute drill."

    CB Shaquill Griffin

Griffin suffered a hamstring injury on the second day of training camp practice and has yet to return to the field. O'Connell gave an update on him, stating that he would be ready for the regular season.

"And also Griffin, yeah, I do. I do. Shaq will, you know, he'll be ready. It's kind of been a long you know, I know I haven't been incredibly detailed with that timeline, but that timeline has always been one where we thought the regular season would not be in question. I know he was doing some running on some side fields, and now it'll be about at what point we can acclimate him back into football and build up his reps."
