The Denver Broncos have drafted well the last few years, but specifically this year. This draft class has the potential to be one of the best ones in recent memory. Of course, it starts with the guy who is looking like he could save the franchise quarterback Bo Nix, who has a great preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts. But, there are plenty of others in the draft class who had huge games on Sunday and have been having great training camps.

Jonah Elliss is a player that the Broncos have been high on during training camp, and his preseason performance saw him back some of that up with a few quarterback pressures and even one that saw him force an interception to the Broncos' secondary.

But the one guy that is hard to ignore right now, has to be Kris Abrams-Draine.

"I actually talked to him like three days ago and I said, 'Man, you getting in that mode.' He's been really strappy at practice. ... He showed it today. Got a pick today in a crucial situation, two-point conversion," safety P.J. Locke said of Abrams-Draine.

Selected in the fifth round out of Missouri, Abrams-Draine was not just another draft pick; he was a symbol of potential and versatility, traits that had caught the eye of Head Coach Sean Payton and the Broncos' scouting team. They felt he would be a perfect fit next to Patrick Surtain in the future, and so far he is showing that potential.

Against the Colts he showed out, having played 19 coverage snaps, with zero yards allowed on two targets. His Pro Football Focus coverage grade was 90.1. It's safe to say he had a more than impressive game.

The Broncos' secondary, already strong with Patrick Surtain II, now has a new piece in Abrams-Draine, whose rookie year is shaping up to be a story of overcoming expectations, seeing how he was selected a lot later than he maybe should have been. But, that's the story of a lot of kids in the NFL -- Abrams-Draine is just one of the few putting in the work with results showing that to back it up. Now to see if he can do it against the Green Bay Packers
