Depth continues to be a topic of discussion as the Carolina Panthers made a flurry of roster moves Monday afternoon.

Carolina signed cornerbacks Chris Wilcox and Quandre Mosely after a workout, according to the team website .

The additions come after Lamar Jackson and Anthony Brown left Saturday night's 15-12 loss to the New York Jets with injuries and did not return. Heading into the game, Dave Canales said that starter Dane Jackson would miss six weeks with a lingering hamstring ailment.

    Carolina needed to act.

In Wilcox, the Panthers land a 26-year-old former seventh-round pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He's played for the Indianapolis Colts, Arizona Cardinals, Pittsburgh Steelers and Los Angeles Chargers.

With Mosely, the Panthers signed a 25-year-old who has spent time with the Dallas Cowboys, Seattle Seahawks, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New England Patriots.

The Panthers followed that up by signing cornerback Willie Drew, wide receiver Sam Pinckney, and running back Jaden Shirden, who was in camp earlier this summer.

The team made room for new players on the roster by placing Brown and quarterback Jake Luton on injured reserve, waiving-injured Lamar Jackson, waiving-injured wide receiver Tayvion Robinson, and waiving running back Dillon Johnson.
