3 receivers the Lions should be all in if they're cut next week

Yes, it's another receiver article. We've got a lot of them. It's because it's the Lions top problem right now. One of the big ways they can fix it is by going after a receiver that could be hitting the open market soon after their current team cuts them.

John Whiticar of my old stomping grounds, Pride of Detroit , put out a great list that shows one bubble receiver from each team in the league on Tuesday. I had to go over his list and pick my top three guys that would be perfect fits for the Lions. Here they are:

Treylon Burks

I've been the conductor of the Treylon Burks to Detroit train for some time now. He is exactly the type of receiver the Lions need on their team. A big bodied X receiver that can get down field and make contested catches with his giant hands.

He hasn't worked out in Tennessee. Then again neither did Josh Reynolds and Kalif Raymond. The Lions are able to get something out of guys that other teams haven't been able to, provided they have talent. The former first-round pick has it and Detroit could use it right now.

Hakeem Butler

Another guy that I have been talking about a lot is UFL Offensive Player of the Year Hakeem Butler. He showed he can very much play this game, but he has the worst luck when it comes to teams he winds up on and injuries. The Bengals are a perfect example. Why would they sign him when they have Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins? Can teams please stop trying to make this guy a tight end?

Butler would have his very best chance to succeed in the NFL right here in Detroit where he can play right away. It makes too much sense.

Terrace Marshall Jr.

One final guy that we've talked about before. The former second round draft pick is just in the worst place he could possibly be. He's gone through multiple head coaches, GM's, OC's and QB's. The big question is what can he be in a stable situation?

Marshall has the size and the speed you want, but has never really had the opportunity. Here's a big one in Detroit.
