Over recent years, there has become one school that holds the true title of “WRU” across the college football landscape and that is Ohio State. No one else has put as many high-level wide receivers into the NFL as the Buckeyes recently.

Over that time we’ve seen guys like Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Terry McLaurin, and others make plays in the NFL. Wilson, McLaurin, and Olave are all the top wideout options on their teams in the NFL and were studs in Columbus. Still, we haven’t named one player who believes he’s the best Ohio State wide receiver ever.

Marvin Harrison Jr. was the No. 4 pick by the Arizona Cardinals in the latest NFL Draft and recently appeared on an episode of The Trenches with Zaire Franklin.

"I think I'm the best," Harrison said.

Harrison has a good case. He is the highest-drafted wide receiver in some time and for good reason — he was just that dominant at Ohio State and genuinely made college football look easy for him.

"Then you look at the accolades, they are up there with the (best)," Harrison explained. "Heisman finalist, I think we only had one other Biletnikoff Award winner, Terry Glenn, two-time receiver of the year, Big Ten Player of the Year, I mean, you go down the whole list. Unanimous All-American back-to-back years. I did it all."

Harrison recorded back-to-back seasons north of 1,200 yards and 14 touchdowns each with Ohio State in 2022 and 2023. The son of Marvin Harrison didn’t have a big role as a freshman but broke onto the scene as a sophomore.

Now with the Cardinals, Harrison is a trendy pick for Rookie of the Year since he is expected to have a major role for Arizona right away. The expectation is that Harrison is Kyler Murray’s top target undoubtedly.

Size, speed, footwork, and football IQ have Harrison set up to be perhaps the best Ohio State wide receiver that the NFL has ha d. Harrison already believes he is the best one to play in Columbus.
