The Alabama Crimson Tide are in unfamiliar territory when it comes to pivotal position

The Alabama Crimson Tide are just mere days away from kicking off a new generation of football in Tuscaloosa.

With the Capstone undergoing significant change for the first time in decades, so did the roster.

That leaves us with some strengths and weaknesses to assess, and these four position groups fit into each label.

    Strengths

    QB Room

The man that needs no introduction, the 2024 Crimson Tide will go as far as their signal caller takes them, and based on how he developed down the stretch of 2023, that could be very far yet again.

Milroe's ability to progress in season cannot be applauded enough. It's hard to develop throughout an offseason, much less in the middle of a season where the next game is the biggest one.

Milroe certainly has the eyes of many in and around the league, with some living in a world where he is the first QB in the draft come April .

    Offensive Line

The foundation of an expected return to the college football playoff , names like Kadyn Proctor, and Tyler Booker headline a group that is a Joe Moore Award candidate for the best offensive line in the country, not to mention both players project to be first-round picks when they declare.

    Weaknesses

    WR Room

It's safe to say that the Tide are in unfamiliar territory when it comes to the WR position. Often boasting a group of pass catchers that are among the best in the country, Alabama can still be a part of that group, but it's widely unknown at this point.

Following the transfer of Isaiah Bond and departure for the NFL from Jermaine Burton, Alabama's best WR may be true freshman WR Ryan Williams, who while making headlines in camp , is still supposed to be in high school.

Time will tell if this year's corps can mirror the greats of the past.

Much like the WR corps, more than a weakness, the DB room is an unknown outside of safety Malachi Moore.

A pair of transfers at CB now take over for Terrion Arnold and Kool-Aid Mcinstry, and the safety position opposite of Moore is also going to be manned by a transfer.

So like much of the roster, change has occurred, with Tide fans hoping that the change is good.
