The Las Vegas Raiders are a franchise that stands for more than just the name and the shield. Outside of the game, they stand for something bigger, and as we know, the Raiders are one of the most diverse franchises of all time and have such a diverse fan base. It doesn't get any better than that.

The Raiders have been at the forefront of diversity since the days of Al Davis , who was known for his commitment to hiring based on merit rather than race or gender. This ethos led to several firsts for the franchise.

Tom Flores became the first Mexican-American head coach in the NFL, leading the Raiders to Super Bowl victories in 1980 and 1983. Art Shell was the first African American head coach in the modern era of the NFL, hired by Al Davis in 1989, and later returned for a second stint in 2006, Amy Trask was appointed as the NFL's first female CEO in 1997, serving until 2013.

Of course, let's not forget about the Raiders hiring the first female African American president in Sandra Douglass Morgan, who is killing it as we speak.

Now, on Tuesday during their open practice with fans in attendance, the Raiders showed some respect to 195 new U.S. citizens at Allegiant Stadium, from a combined 48 countries.

That's just too cool, and something that only makes you respect the franchise more.
