It took a few months, but Dan Morgan finally found his answer at the cornerback position.

On Thursday, Morgan and the Carolina Panthers landed cornerback Michael Jackson via a trade with the Seattle Seahawks, first reported on the team's website .

Carolina sent away linebacker Michael Barrett in the deal.

The 27-year-old Jackson, a fifth-round pick by Dallas in 2019 from Miami, has also spent time with the Detroit Lions and New England Patriots.

Jackson has started 21 career games and has an interception and two fumble recoveries.

Cornerback was a position of need after the Panthers missed out on Stephon Gilmore. Dane Jackson is working through an injury. The team lost Lamar Jackson to a knee injury.

Michael Jackson is joining a defense in dire need.
