There are a number of ways to be leaders.  Some guys are vocal, on top of the huddle and yelling loudly.  Other players lead more quietly, allowing their actions to speak more loudly than their words.

Tennessee QB Nico Iamaleava is closer to the latter end of the spectrum.  The Vols' starting QB isn't the loudest guy on the field, but his play has shown so far that he doesn't need to be.

However, when you're earning a nice NIL package and in position to earn a lot of credit as quarterbacks do, it still never hurts to share some of that wealth with your teammates.  Iamaleava did just that this week by gifting his teammates each a pair of Beats By Dre headphones, which were very eagerly received.

Iamaleava, who recently secured an NIL deal with Beats By Dre , explained while meeting with the media on Thursday that he wanted to show appreciation and give back to his teammates for their hard work every day.

"I go to work every day with these guys. And, you know, I feel like just to give back to them guys, to show my appreciation to them. And that's just one gift right there. Man, we're working towards some totally bigger. It felt good to give back."

Not a bad way to show your appreciation.  Those are not cheap, and the Vols' roster is lengthy.  And Nico also dropped a hint about something "totally bigger" potentially coming down the pike as well.

Not that the Vols' needed any reason to be more fired up to play hard for their starting quarterback, but seeing that he's willing to share his good fortunate with his players surely adds another pep to their step.

After all, that's what leaders do.
