3 players that are set to have a nice season with the Cleveland Browns following a good preseason

The Cleveland Browns stayed rather low-key in the preseason games and did not play the starters a whole lot . Instead, they kept the starters healthy as much as they could and used the games to get a look at their depth.

Cleveland’s depth was on display much of the preseason and the games offered a chance to show what they had been working on in training camp.

Today, I’ve pinpointed three players that are set up for success in 2024 after a strong month of August.

    LB Devin Bush

Bush had a very nice training camp and preseason and looks like he could be a steal of a signing if all works out. The former first-round pick is set to take over for Sione Takitaki, who signed with the New England Patriots in free agency. Bush brings that same hard-hitting, run-stopping ability and he has shown it off this preseason. His showing against the Seahawks had a couple of plays he will wish he had back, but overall August was big for him.

The biggest thing for Bush is staying healthy and the Browns will need him to do just that in 2024 . If the Michigan product can do that and produce, he is setting himself up for a bigger payday next year.

    DE Isaiah McGuire

After having a very limited role last year, things should pick up a bit for McGuire this season. The former SEC standout has had a nice month of August and is poised to provide depth off the edge for Cleveland. The best-case scenario for the Browns is that McGuire has a jump like Alex Wright did in his second season last year.

    WR Jamari Thrash

Thrash had his best preseason game in the final one and should have a role as a rookie. The Louisville product has four catches for 72 yards and a touchdown against the Seahawks and it was an example of what has done all August and that is making plays. The Browns are looking for some younger wideouts to take a step forward in 2024. Thrash just may do it as a rookie and prove himself right out of the gates. He is a player that gets open and you have to respect him.
