The Oklahoma Sooners football fan base , often referred to as "Sooner Nation," is renowned for its passion, loyalty, and deep-rooted tradition in college football. You know, there's a saying from the fight song, that the fan base says that just proves how die-hard they are.

"I'm a Sooner born and Sooner bred. And when I die, I'll be Sooner dead."

The culture around Oklahoma football is steeped in tradition, with fans showing up in large numbers for games, tailgating events, and community gatherings. This passion is often highlighted by their presence at games, where the atmosphere is electric, characterized by the sea of crimson and cream colors.

And the Sooners have had some pretty popular fans, too, and some fans that are celebrities, like Toby Keith, the country music superstar. Unfortunately, Keith recently passed away at the age of 62 after a battle with stomach cancer. He was one of the biggest supporters of the university we have ever seen and was at almost every single football game.

The Sooners are going to be honoring him during every single home game.

At every home game, following the third quarter, the Sooners have implemented a special tribute where fans can sing along to one of Toby Keith's songs. This moment not only serves as a musical interlude but also as a collective homage to Keith, allowing 85,000 fans to celebrate his legacy together.

We have also heard that there may be a tribute video, and if so, the tribute could include not just music but also a video component that syncs with the song, enhancing some emotional and visual impact of the tribute. This multimedia approach ensures that Keith's memory is vividly kept alive in the stadium.

This is just classy by the school, as Keith was a superfan of the Oklahoma Sooners.
