The Oregon Ducks and their seemingly long-awaited debut in the Big Ten Conference have finally arrived with their Week 1 matchup against the Idaho Vandals. For the Ducks, it's an opportunity to announce their presence.

Idaho shouldn't pose much of a threat to the Ducks, but no opponent should ever be taken lightly. Oregon will still want, and need, to show up with intensity and carry themselves the right way. I have no concerns about head coach Dan Lanning having this team ready to go.

There's a dispute currently taking place between the Big Ten Network and Comcast/Xfinity. Comcast reportedly rejected the Big Ten Network's territory expansion offer, leading to the platform blacking out Oregon, Washington, USC, and UCLA games in many markets. That includes the state of Oregon for Saturday's season opener.

Here's how to watch and how to find alternative streaming and listening options in your area.

Where to watch, stream, and listen to Oregon vs Idaho

Kickoff : 7:30 PM ET, Autzen Stadium, Eugene, Oregon.

Where to watch : Big Ten Network (Blacked out on Comcast/Xfinity in Oregon)

Here are the announcers for the Ohio State-Akron game :

    Jerry Allen (play-by-play)

    Mike Jorgenson (analysis)

Stream : Fubo, Fox Sports App

    Radio : Oregon Sports Network, KUJZ-FM 95.3 Eugene, KFXX-AM 1080 Portland.

The first game of the season should be a tune-up for an elite program like Oregon, which enters the season as the No. 3 ranked team in the country. The starters should be able to get some early run, build a lead, and get out of the game in the second half. Of course, that's all going to depend on how the game goes.

Oregon hasn't always gotten out of the blocks strongly. In 2022, Oregon lost their Week 1 matchup against Georgia 49-3. In 2021, the Ducks barely got by Fresno State, 31-24. In 2019, they lost to Auburn, 27-21.

The Ducks will need to shed that slight trend and put concerns to bed early in this game, which, on paper, they should be able to do easily. Oregon fans will get their first look at some new faces in quarterback Dillon Gabriel , wide receiver Evan Stewart , cornerback Jabbar Muhammad , and a slew of other players expected to have notable roles this season.

    Oregon's 2024 schedule:

    • Aug. 31 – Idaho
    • Sept. 7 – Boise State
    • Sept. 14 – at Oregon State
    • Sept. 21 – Off
    • Sept. 28 – at UCLA
    • Oct. 4 – Michigan State
    • Oct. 12 – Ohio State
    • Oct. 18 – at Purdue
    • Oct. 26 – Illinois
    • Nov. 2 – at Michigan
    • Nov. 9 – Maryland
    • Nov. 16 – at Wisconsin
    • Nov. 23 – Off
    • Nov. 30 – Washington
