College football season is finally here, and kickoff weekend will have plenty of action. The Ole Miss Rebels have garnered an immense amount of preseason buzz and figure to be a legitimate contender for a College Football Playoff bid.

The Rebels open the season at home against FCS opponent Furman. Here is how to watch:

Furman Paladins (0-0) at Ole Miss Rebels (0-0)
    Date: Saturday, August 31
    Time: 6 p.m. CT
    Location: Vaught-Hemingway Stadium
    Betting odds: Ole Miss -42, Over/Under 60.5
How to watch on TV: ESPN+/SECN+

    Three Players To Watch:

    QB Jaxson Dart

Dart enters his senior season at Ole Miss as a Heisman contender. With a variety of weapons and three seasons of experience in Lane Kiffin's offense, Dart is poised to lead the Rebels to unforeseen heights and potentially a bid in the inaugural 12-team College Football Playoff.

    WR Tre Harris

Harris is coming off a 2023 campaign in which he led the Rebels with 54 receptions for 985 yards and eight touchdowns. The explosive wideout has been named to the Biletnikoff Award Watch List as well as Second-Team AP Preseason All-American. Expect Harris to shoulder the load in the passing game alongside other dynamic receivers in Juice Wells and Jordan Watkins.

    DT Walter Nolen

Nolen transferred to Ole Miss after establishing himself as one of the best interior defensive linemen in the country at Texas A&M. Nolen was ranked as the No. 2 player in the transfer portal and is in position to wreck SEC offensive lines with a rebuilt pass rush alongside.
