Already, the Baltimore Ravens may have caught a massive break heading into Week 1 of the NFL regular season .

The Kansas City Chiefs will be without wide receiver Marquise Brown Thursday night in an AFC title game rematch, The Associated Press reported Friday .

Brown, who is one of the Chiefs' key free-agent signings, dislocated his sternoclavicular joint in his shoulder while making a catch in their preseason game against Jacksonville.

However, he was able to have his shoulder set without needing surgery, which has helped to accelerate his recovery time to 4 to 6 weeks, giving him a chance to play in Week 1.

But despite appearing on the practice field this week, Brown did not take part in any real work .

Now he won't play, giving the Ravens a massive break in a game that is a must-win out of the gate.
