The Oklahoma Sooners are a school that is all about tradition. There are over 100 years of history with the Sooners and their football program, and there have been a lot of those years that made fans happy due to winning and being successful. So, the Sooners oftentimes make sure they do things for the fans, and honor them.

Recently, one of their biggest fans passed away, country music superstar and superfan, Toby Keith , who lost a battle with cancer. The Sooners made sure to honor him, and will continue to do so at every home game throughout the year.

With some of his family in attendance, the Sooners started off a tradition, and it was a huge success.

At every home game, following the third quarter, the Sooners have implemented a special tribute where fans can sing along to one of Toby Keith's songs. This moment not only serves as a musical interlude but also as a collective homage to Keith, allowing 85,000 fans to celebrate his legacy together.

They did that on Friday, and it was magical, as the lights went off, and everyone held up their phone flashlight. The whole stadium sang for Keith, as he did for years for fans. It was a huge success for the first time doing it.
