At the end of the first half against the LSU Tigers , the USC Trojans started at the 25 yard line, drove down the field efficiently and set their kicker up for a chip shot field goal from 29 yards out. Their kicker Michael Lantz missed it to the right and the game ended up tied at 10 going into halftime.

The clock management was disappointing for the Trojans. They had three timeouts and let too much time drain off the clock. It certainly felt like Trojans head coach Lincoln Riley was playing for the field goal.

With nine seconds left on the 19 yard line and a timeout, they had a chance to go for a touchdown and chose to run the ball to set their kicker up for an easier kick. Well, he missed and they got nothing from the possession.

ESPN's Holly Rowe asked Riley on the way into the locker room if he regretted not being more aggressive and he gave an incredible quote.

"When you miss it, there always is (regret)."

The Trojans are doing a good job moving the ball against the Tigers. They have 207 total yards while quarterback Miller Moss completed 13-of-15 passes for 177 yards. If they can continue moving the ball like this, the Trojans could be in a great spot to win this game.

However, not being more aggressive could cost them.
