Kansas City Chiefs fans prove yet again that they are the most committed fanbase in the NFL

Kansas City Chiefs fans are well known for being some of the rabid in all of sports.

When you think about attending a Chiefs game, the first thing you likely think about is the tailgating scene. For every single game, Chiefs fans pack the parking lot of GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium hours before kickoff.

That is the case yet again for the Chiefs' 2024 home opener. Our friend Vahe Gregorian of the Kansas City Star ran into some Chiefs fans on Wednesday night - 24 hours before kickoff - with their vehicles already parked and tents set up for tailgating.

You may think these fans are only out there so early because it's the first week of the season, but this is common for nearly every game. The Chiefs share a huge parking lot with the MLB's Kansas City Royals, which is located right off of Interstate-70 with not much else surrounding it.

This gives fans plenty of space to not only park, but set up tents, games, barbecue grills and coolers. The sights, sounds and smell set an amazing atmosphere. The Chiefs do their part in adding to the tailgating experience as well, setting up multiple events throughout the parking lot.

When the Chiefs play, it's much more than just a three-hour game for their fans. It's an all-day event that they save their money for and looked forward to for months. You would be hard pressed to find another fan base that shows up as early, or even stays as late, as Chiefs fans do. The experience inside the stadium isn't too shabby either, as Arrowhead is on record as the loudest stadium in the world.
