The first game of the season is always a bit of an enigma. You can do all the studying you want on your opponent, but at the end of the day, there's no tape from this year to go off of. Every team enters the season with new players, likely some sort of change in coaching or front office, the scheme can look different, the chemistry is new – there's more variables heading into this game than any other game of the season.

For the Buffalo Bills, that's no different. Buffalo enters the season with essentially an entirely new receiver group , new safeties , a new offensive line combination, a new second running back , and a slew of other changes, not to mention Joe Brady being promoted to full time offensive coordinator over the offseason.

For their opponent, the Arizona Cardinals, "the only constant is change" rings true as well.

Buffalo will go into this game going against an offense that has the potential for an entirely new dynamic, aided by the selection of Marvin Harrison Jr fourth overall in this year's NFL Draft. Their defense will also look different, particularly with the addition of cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting. For Brady, he fully understands the challenge ahead of him, and what will be required to win.

"It's a challenge, the guys that we're going against, and I know our guys are excited about it, but we know that they improved from a defensive perspective, and we know and the first game of the season, there's always unknown, right? Like, I'm sure they're saying the exact same thing. So this game can be a lot about adjustments, and we think this is what they're going to do. But you know, how are we going to be able to respond? When are we going to be able to be poised when everything's kind of changing? So it's going to be a huge test and a great opportunity for us," Brady said.

Adjustments are going to be the name of the game, and Buffalo's coaching staff is going to have to think quickly and react on the fly to a slew of new circumstances, ranging from how their own new players are performing, to what the Cardinals throw at them.
