Bill Belichick did not hide his distain for social media over his tenure as head coach of the New England Patriots.

However, now that he's transitioning into the media world, he's decided to join the dark side.

“I can’t really believe I’m doing this but I’ve joined InstaFace,” Belichick, announced on “The Pat McAfee Show.”

After he said this, a video was released on Belichick’s official page, ‘ billbelichick .’

“Hello, everyone. Surprised to see me here? I am too,” Belichick said in the video. “Over the past few months and not being with a team, I haven’t had the opportunities to express my thoughts at a moment’s notice. So now I’m changing that. I tried to join snap face. I couldn’t find it I decided this was a good place for me to land, so I could talk to you and share what I’m up to. Because there’s a lot going on. So here I am.”

Belichick always refused to call the social media apps by their actual names. Instead, he would always combine and change them a little bit. InstaFace and SnapGram were the two that were most used.

While Belichick left the Patriots, his son, Brian Belichick, stayed on as safeties coach. And he spoke with reporters about Belichick's new social media presence on Thursday.

“Yeah, Instaface. It was surprising,” Brian Belichick said. “But yeah, I’m happy that he’s getting to experience a little more of life in the 21st century nowadays. It’s good.”

Even Tom Brady couldn't help himself, commenting publicly about it on Thursday.

"Alright guys, party's over. Bill's here. It was a good run, but we got to shut it down. Welcome Coach!."

And Brady's caption made it so much better.

"Welcome to the 21st century @billbelichick 😂," he wrote.

But they weren't the only ones reacted to his big news. A to Z Sports spoke exclusively with numerous players in the Patriots locker room to get their immediate thoughts.

DT Davon Godchaux : "Funny as hell... He's getting accustomed to the new age and all, so it's good for him."

OL Mike Onwenu : "I thought it was pretty cool. I'm sure he got some more time to himself now, so little bit of social networking for him."

TE Hunter Henry : "Well I gave him a follow. I'm very interested to see the dynamics that he brings to Instagram. There was always a negative connotation to it, so I'm very interested to see what he brings. But I think that's the most intriguing part is he's going to be a good follow because you never know what's going to happen."

S Brenden Schooler : "I just laughed at it. I mean, he just always joked about being so against it, so just to see him have one. I think it's funny. I think he's going to have a lot of fun with it and I think it'll be a cool way for him to interact with all the fans... I got a good chuckle out of it."

WR Tyquan Thornton : "It was surprising to see Bill on Instagram. Well he called it InstaFace, but it was funny to see him on Instagram for sure... I kind of knew it was going to eventually happen. I mean, eventually you got to evolve. But I didn't know it was going to happen this soon. But I knew once he stepped away from coaching, I knew he was probably going to get an Instagram."

DE Deatrich Wise : "Hilarious. He always talks about being on Instagram and he names it InstaFace, SnapFace, things like that. He always makes fun of it. So it's very funny to see he's actually on it now. And I heard he gained like 240,000 followers in like one day. He's famous now."

CB Christian Gonzalez : "It's cool, I guess. Good for him. He's never been on it, so it's a whole new world getting on social media. Maybe I'll be lucky enough to get a follow. We'll see."

C David Andrews : "It was funny. But different part of life, and now he's a media guy, so he's got to do certain things I guess."

LB Josh Uche : "It's pretty cool."

LB Ja'Whaun Bentley : "I was hype. I added him. Now I'm just waiting for him to follow me back because I follow him... Nowadays I'm not surprised with what Bill does. If anything, I'm kind of more happy for him. Like finally he came around and joined the SnapFace team. Now everybody's hearing him say SnapFace and all that kind of stuff, the Bill-isms, he used to say here. So now he's kind of got it on more of a global, worldwide sort of scale. It's good to see the world getting to see his personality. It's great."

DT Daniel Ekuale : "I feel like it's good for the social media platform for Bill to join, but we'll see how it goes."

LB Jahlani Tavai : "It was pretty funny because we always had the meetings about InstaFace or whatever he calls it. So to see him finally join the 21st century, it's pretty comical. But we'll see how it unfolds."

S Kyle Dugger : "I thought it was interesting for sure. It was funny though. Surprising more than anything."

WR DeMario Douglas : "That was crazy. Talking about InstaFace. He's hilarious. I'm glad he's finally coming out in the world. Show everybody how he really is... He used to talk crap about it all the time, so definitely made it funny."

QB Jacoby Brissett : "I'm not going to follow him. I don't know what content he going to post, but nah, not my type of follow... I did not expect that in 2024. What do they say, that was not on my 2024 bingo card. That definitely wasn't."

S Jabrill Peppers : "I was shocked when I saw him on there. I was going to give him a follow last night, but I'm going to wait a little bit. I'm going to let him get his feet under him. But it was definitely funny. It was definitely funny because all we used to hear from him about InstaFace, SnapGram, any two combinations you could combine of social networks. So it's definitely funny, but I'll probably end up following him at some point."

And last but not least, A to Z Sports spoke with Joe Cardona , who is not on any social media platforms.

    His answer: "On to Cincinnati."
